At “All Natural Meat & More” our goal is to provide to our customers the best tasting beef, pork and chicken they can buy. In addition to that, the meat will not have been raised and processed like most grocery store meat.
We buy weaning steers from a network of local producers. Even while the steers are still on their mothers they are fed and treated to our specifications. The steers always run on our pasture, never in small pens. In addition to being on the pasture, they are fed a special formulated ration. This provides the marbling of the meat. That is where we get the great taste.
At weaning, the steers will weight 450-550 lbs. When they are “finished” they will weight 1,000-1,100 lbs. A study by the University of Iowa, states that it cost about 20-25% more to raise “All Natural” steers in comparison to feedlot steers. This does not include the additional cost of Dry Aging.
